Title: eBay: Star Wars yoke on random sucky cab
Post by: Texasmame on February 20, 2007, 05:46:20 pm
It's in Cali.  If you're local you may be able to make money after the parting and get a yoke!   :applaud:

Hmmm. . .  may not be one.  Tough to tell with the poor pics of the CP

Would you mind fixing the link?  eBay is asking me for my login.

That game is listed on klov as using an 8-way trigger stick. How would you go about inputting an analog signal to it?

Maybe it was converted to something else and nobody changed the cab art?  He said the monitor doesn't come on. . .

Yoke appears to be from a Hydra.

Looks like the guy doesn't know what he has, should be able to get it for a good deal. The only problem is that it looks like someone hacked on the Happs trigger handles to the yoke. Yuck.

<Havok is impatiently waiting for his Ram Controls repro yoke, with much anticipation...>

Well I just happen to work in San Jose.
I'm going to see if he will let me come check it out.

Hydra, Stun Runner, and other games came with those handles by default.  Some say they are actually more comfortable.
Also, the Hydra yoke has slightly different innards and the feel is slightly different from what I've heard.

A search will tell you more.

Took the words out of my mouth. That is a Hydra yoke. At first I was going to tell you to avoid this one because I thought it might be hacked up to work as an 8 way, but now I think Klov is wrong. I am pretty sure that Aqua Jack uses an analog stick.

So I've been unable to hook up with this person - mostly of my accord because I live 50 miles away and don't normally drive a vehicle to work that can handle a cabinet.

But it's still listed at $1.25 on ebay (it will likely go higher) but I also noticed that he listed on CL today for $100.

If I can get it for a lesser price, is this yoke worth using for Star Wars?  If so, I'll make arrangements.  Who knows, I might be able to get the monitor working too.

Thanks for the input - I'm not too versed in yoke particulars.

Aqua Jack does use an analog triggerstick. The Aqua Jack stick does  look like your typical Tron style digital trigger stick but  it is definately an analog stick.Over the years, those "Tron" style plastic handle shells have been  used on 8-way , 2-way , analog and optical sticks. There has to be at least 2 dozen games that used them.
