Title: After months of neglect, the right half of my Metal Gear sideart is DONE!
Post by: Timstuff on February 19, 2007, 05:43:09 pm
I have been gone from the BYOAC scene for several months, because money was tight and I had a hard drive crash that I hadn't gotten around to recovering for a while. A few months ago I started making sideart for a Metal Gear themed arcade cabinet, but I gave up on it for a while because of "artist's block." But today I took another look at it, and within an hour I was able to completely fill up all the empty space that I was completely terrified of months ago. Here it is! :)

Very Nice!

A minor criticism is that maybe it'd be better to have the sky and Snake's gear to not be so similar. Maybe have a warm gradient to represent a sunset or something. Also maybe rearrange the rocks or the leg a bit so the Metal Gear looks more like it's standing on them instead of floating in front.

I still think that it's kind of strange that the original box art is the only Metal Gear art where he doesn't have a headband, even if it is modeled after Terminator photos.

If this is the right half, I can't wait to see what the Left will look like.
