just recieved 3 solderless keywiz eco,s and a keywiz max
but am having a few teething probs
In the FAQ from groovy game gear it says you can use KWL files but the new updater software dosnt recogniise them the old V1 software does
I am trying to use with wincab and have a batch file that configures wincab for different jukeboxes which i run full screen.
what i am trying to do is run the profile update and then run the batch . I cant seem to do it with V2 but have managed to get V1 to work but its still messy
i have to run keywiz from a batchfile and then the wincab batchfile from within that batch file via a sortcut in the startup folder but the wincab batch file still runs in a window
If i try with a single batch file
for example
C:\keywiz\keywiz.exe /A /P A
C:\WINCAB.BAT
then it runs but the wincab.bat file minimises which is a problem as I am trying to control the PC with no keyboard or Mouse
any ideas ????

A bug might have crept into 2.0's handling of the KWL files. It was a complete rewrite, so it's possible.
Drop me an email and I'll see if I can squash it and get and update to you as well as discuss what you are trying to do and find the best approach.

Bug found and squashed....and older rev of the module without functioning KWL support got attached to the new software by mistake. Looks like it works fine now.
I'll be updating the distribution package on the site shortly. Anyone who uses this feature of the software should grab another copy in the next day or so.

Ok, the one on the site is the fixed version.
If you do a re-install, you might want to do a backup of your config folder so you can copy it back afterwards. The installer should come up and tell you that the profile files it wants to copy are older than the ones on your drive so you can refuse to let it, but better to be safe.
Let me know if any other issues are found and I'll take care of them.

Hey Randy, when I installed the 2.0 version of the keywiz software into my startup menu, it no longer disappears like the old version did. Is this something I may be doing wrong? Also, even though I have removed the first version from everywhere, it still starts up behind the new version on startup. Otherwise, I have the 2.0 in the front and the old in the back. I have to manually close both now.

The two are probably conflicting with each other. You must still have a copy of the old software in your startup folder somewhere and that one needs to go.
Also, you shouldn't have to do any of the manual configuration of startup files like the old version required. If you have any of those shortcuts in your startup folder, you will need to get rid of them and use the startup option selectors right on the main screen of 2.0. It will do all of the startup configuration for you automatically.
Let me know if you still see problems after you get the old one cleaned out, and don't forget to save your config files.

Will do. I know something is going on, as I have removed the first gen from everywhere I can visibly see it. I'll do more checking.
