The wife and I are getting some PS1 games to play on the PS2. According to Sony, it looks like a PS2 memory card won't work:
This Memory Card moves data significantly faster than the original memory card, but can only be used with PlayStation 2 format software.
So what's a good option for a memory card that will save both PS1 & PS2 games? Is there a decent 3rd party one I should look for?

I dont think they make one? I could be wrong but I was told this. Go to your local game store and get some PSX for dirt cheap. Blockbuster where I live had PSX's for $1.50, so I bought all six of them.

Do I have to worry about any not working with the slimline model PS2? I've seen a couple auctions where it says certain PS2 ones don't work with the slimline model.
Of course for under $2, I'd probably buy it anyhow...

A first party PSX memory card will work fine in a slimline. There's one in mine right now.
