Title: disc of tron origianal cab??
Post by: draginit on February 13, 2007, 10:26:33 pm: im might go pick up a cab that will be a small but large project for disc of tron but dont remember exactly what the original upright looks like unless it was the enviornmental... this one looks like half the enviornmental cab and was wondering if anyone knows if they made them like this half only. i looked on KLOV for info and found the upright photo was like the other TRON game..... it would be a small investment and i might get it either way i just want to know if im finding an original cab or half of an enviornmental.
-any extra info anyone might have would be helpful..
ok, so i figured its been sawed, anyone think it would be worth trying to restore??

Post by: dek on February 14, 2007, 02:21:13 am: It's missing the marquee, good luck finding that, and there are chunks missing from the cab in multiple spots. Not worth the asking price IMHO on those 2 pics alone. Wonder how it looks powered on.

Post by: draginit on February 14, 2007, 02:52:48 am: asking price,... you know what he's asking?? did you see it on craigslist or something?? i was only gonna offer hundred bucks anyways and i would probably put a temporary repro marquee until i came across an original...but i can repair the sides and get repro art, its the other half im not sure im going to find,...which may prove not even worth offering the 100$... and i was given pics of it on, it does seem to be lacking some images which makes me think the boards are going....but thats pretty much how i picked up my other tron cab and its now fully restored 100%

-does anyone know if this image lacks the background as i see it in KLOV or is that in the mame only...i havnt seen this game in the wild for some time and dont remember....

Either that, or I was attempting to say "before" but it was too many letters to type--, (with the marquee, both halves, and of course when i wasnt ready to buy) and could use less of a project right now anyway.. oh well.

Post by: draginit on February 14, 2007, 08:46:23 pm: yea, star wars would be nice, but my moneys out for a disc of tron to put next to my other tron cab... one theme at a time and space needs be considered..tho, if i find the other half, goodbye space!

- i already asked if hes got the other half, im waiting on a response...

just out of curiosity tho, what do you think one should offer to pay for a star wars cab of that condition...
