I have built my own cab but might build another and came across this for sale in my area. Do you think its worth the time to strip it down and use it?

I went and saw it and it needs some work but the bones are good. i will pick it up this weekend. It was not originally a street fighter. The monitor went thorough a degrading cycle but was reported to not have had any burnin before it quit. more to come.

its up to you.. I bought a cab to strip and redo. but the more i look at it the more i think i might just build from scratch. it really depends what you are looking for. 40$ you really cant go wrong. even if all you do is pop a screen in it. or if the old screen is still there, maybe you can fix it for a nominal fee.

There are no pics. It could have been dragged behind a truck for 2 hours for all you know. I wouldn't do anything without seeing it.

For $40 you CAN'T go wrong. There is more than $40 in wood in the cabinet alone.

Not if the cabinet has a bunch of water damage .....

True...

Go and check it out with the intention of buying it. At the least, you may be able to part it out and make back the $40 and then some, and then build it up the way you want. If the thing is trash, then don't buy it. It's worth a look for $40...

If he parts it out an SFII Turbo main board is worth way more than $40.

I thought all SFII games were conversions? Did SFII have a dedicated cabinet?
