Title: Cell phone inner (or is it outer) screen cleaning
Post by: hypernova on February 13, 2007, 10:55:11 am
I have a phone that has two screens.  The one large screen on the inside of the flip phone (the main screen) isn't the one I'm concerned with.  I want to clean that little "preview" display out the outside of the phone that shows the time, the caller ID before answering, reception.  That little screen.  Only problem is there doesn't seem to be any way to get inside of there.  It's getting really dusty in there, and the only way I can read the time or whatever anymore is to pop open the phone to force that screen's backlight to activate.  Any ideas?  It's a Motorola V180 flip phone as seen here:

If there is a seam or something around the display, maybe a shot of canned air would blow it out?

I can't seem to get air up in there.  Does anyone have a similar phone, (or any phone at all with that small preview pane) that they've had luck cleaning out?
