Post by: draginit on February 09, 2007, 09:17:25 pm
does anyone know what this means??   its a HAPP vision pro running in a mame cab and i dont know when it started but i tested the CPU on another and it works fine so its definitly this monitor... the video attached is the monitor on with no signal and the edges are really dark in a circular shape and the flashing reminds me of an old nintendo...im not sure where to even begin troubleshooting...what might have caused this?? thanks

well actualy,, i just got done dealing with them on another monitor with a completly different costly issue. and im trying to avoid having to repeat this frustrating process with them again... but i will call them and see what they say anyways.. thanks..  when you say common fault, do you mean that it might just be the chassis and not the tube...that would be a lot cheaper to ship for repair..

i find it highly unlikely that you have a tube fault.
from what i can see the fault looks like either some kind of problem with the auto frequency circuit or power supply circuit.
i have seen a similar fault to this before on a pentranic digital chassis,my bet is you have a multisync digital chassis-am i correct? as i am not familiar with happ pro(we don't have these monitors in europe)
