I just finished building the new PC and downloading all of the updates. Normally I pay attention and selectively install the updates. This time, however, I just selected all and installed. The problem is that it installed the .Net framework. With the .Net framework, it installes a .Net user and because of that whenever the computer is restarted, it brings you back to the welcome screen.
Should I just uninstall the .Net framework, or should I remove the .Net user? If I remove the .Net user without uninstalling the .Net framework will I run into any problems?
Thanks!

I don't believe the .NET framework loads until it is needed. I think you can let it be without worrying. But then again, I don't know what you mean by .NET user.

Once you install the .net Framework it creates a user account "ASP.Net"
The way XP works is that if you have 2 user accounts you will always get the "choose user" screen when you reboot he computer. That is a problem for a cab because you don' want to have o click your user to get you into windows and mame.
I am trying to find the best way to fix this issue. I think ultimately I will just end up uninstalling the .Net framework. Any other options anyone can thin of.

Try to use AutoLogon feature for Windows XP
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315231
I hope you will reach an english page from your computer.
If not just use google and search : autologon under win xp
