Title: Ultimarc PSX Console Adaptor works with IPAC4?
Post by: Organic Jerk on February 09, 2007, 04:48:41 am
Does anyone know if the the PSX (or Xbox) console adaptor works with the Ipac4?  Looking on the site, I saw many references to it's usage with the Ipac2, but none with the Ipac4.

I would hope that it works the same way, just using the first two player's inputs, but before I make any kind of purchase I would want to be sure..

for that matter how does it work?  and would it work with a keywiz or even a hacked keyboard?

Yes it will work with the I-PAC 4 for 2 players, and will also work with other devices with PS/2 connections.

is it something that you have to program? or does it take the default settings of the keyboard encoder.

That being said, I'm not exactly sure I understand how it reads the bindings and such... I'm guessing that it doesn't read the keys you have binded at all, but moreso the actual set buttons themselves?  (P1B1, P1B2, Start, etc....)

I keep reading around that you have to have the Ipac set to the default codeset... is this true?  My codeset is actually anything but default..
