I placed an order through amazon for the BYOAC book on January 31.
I checked today and it said that it could be delivered anytime between February 8th (today) and FEBRUARY 22nd
UGH! I just want to get my book in my hands already!!!
Just wanted to gripe about slow shipping companies...thats all.

Don't worry, be happy! I think Amazon is just in CYA mode. If I remember correctly I had a similar date range but it came very near the earlier date.

I ordered a book on ITIL (IT crap) from Amazon last month and it won't ship until last March.

I ordered the book from Amazon. It was ordered through Opus books or some place like that. It took over two weeks to get! :hissy:
I've been scanning through it. It has some decent info. But honestly I expected more pictures. There isn't as many pictures as I'd like. And the worst part is that they are in black and white so its hard to distinguish certain parts. The book seems to focus more on the technical parts of the setup, mame and other stuff. Should be helpful when I reach that part. Although, I kind of figured most of that myself. Honestly, I bought the book hoping it would be more detailed on construction of the cabinet rather than the technical stuff.

The CD has color pictures on it. I ordered mine from Amazon also. Got it within two weeks and that was with their slower free shipping option.

Oh yeah, I completely forgot about the cd. I'm gonna have to go through it...

The cd has tons of info on it...some good pics too.

Theres tons of books on construction and wood working. You don't want to paint by numbers do you? There are so many aspects to deal with when building a cabinet. You got woodworking, electrical, computer selection/building/configuring, art, and Saint could've easily wrote a 200 page book on any of those selection.
Think of the book as inspiration and not necessarily a manual and you'll do fine! I'm ready for you to make a project announcement, or start planning some mockups, or something. Go man go!
