Title: Pentranic 1425 DOA
Post by: candyman on February 05, 2007, 05:06:12 pm
Hi All,
I have a Pentranic 25" monitor #1425 that came in a Winding Heat game that is totally dead. The fuse (F501) is OK, but that is as far as I have been able to go.  Been Trying to find info on this monitor, but have not been able to find much. Does anyone have experience with this monitor? Also looking for a schematic. I know it does not mean much, but this monitor looks almost brand new, I would like to get it going rather than spend the money on a replacement.
Thanks for any help
Aaron

First question, where did you get this monitor?? Is it fro ALS- is so, you are in for a lot of problems, wrong tube, wrong yoke.....

Please check the part number and manufacturer of the tube shoud be A63...

Check the Yoke DAJ....

Now if possible post the picture of the chassis, should be a CH288 switchable.

What resolution, Standard or Mid res are you using?

I use the same board in some of our monitors and know it very well. Good board, but we add numerous mods to improve it.

Worst case I can sell youa brand new board.

Hi Guys,
First I would like to thank Ken for the  schem. Also thanks to Rick for info. This monitor came in the Winding Heat game( I picked up a few project games at an auction). The monitor never worked since I got it. I will post a pic. here and do another post  with the other pic.(to large for 1 post).

Hi Candyman, call me if you can tomorrow morning and we can go through some things.

Unfortuneately ALS used a lot of tubes and yokes that just do not match this chassis.

If we talk we mightbe able to figure out if this is the case.

If notr wecan repair the board for you.
