Title: Best way to remove decals from plexi bezel and sideart?

I just purchased a Turbo Outrun mini that I want to convert back to its dedicated Outrun form.   As you can see from the pics below it's got "Turbo" decals across the sideart, and worse, the map decal across the top of the bezel.

It was recommended to me to first use a hairdryer to heat the decals, then peel them off, hopefully taking most of the glue with them.  This sounds okay to me, but what about the remaining residue?  I was thinking of Goo-Gone or Goof Off for the sidesart, but what about the bezel?  I'm really nervous about screwing the plexi up.  Any suggestions?

Thanks.  I've been looking for a mini Outrun for awhile now.

I'm a big fan of Outrun and have been looking for a mini to put in my basement for awhile now.  Came across this Turbo Outrun being sold just 20 minutes from my house so I couldn't pass it up.  And that map across the bezel has to go no matter what I end up doing.  I HATE that!   ;D

After peeling the stickers off with heat, use goo gone.  It isn't very harsh and the art is on the back side of the bezel.  Goof off is very harsh, I wouldn't use it.

Acetone (nail polish remover) might be an option too.

Do not use acetone.  Acetone will "melt" the plexy.

That's good to know.  I've used it successfully to clean side art (as long as you use rub gently).
