A heavily used button on one of my microswitch-based CP has developed some stickiness. The problem comes and goes, but it's very annoying when in the middle of a game your "fire" button doesn't pop back up.
Does anyone have any quick solutions to try before I attempt to replace the button and/or its microswitch?

Have you taken the button out and cleaned it? This is the best thing I can recommend.

Nope. It's my first maintenance issue with my first (and only) cabinet. I thought before I removed the button I'd see if there were any quick fixes I should try first.

Naah, that's the best approach, plus, it is pretty quick to take a button off and apart!

This is a quick fix.... LOL :laugh2: What did you expect, it's a 5 min job.
Another thing to do while you have it apart is to clean the inside of the button barrel with some wax polish. Ordinary furniture polish will do the job.
