Title: Where can I find pictures for my MAME folder?
Post by: Gavica on February 01, 2007, 12:13:54 pm: I need the pictures that go the Marquee folder and so on.

Is there a site that has complete collection of those pictures that are ready to be put in the folder?

and for the other folders in my mame directory too?

Post by: Kaytrim on February 01, 2007, 12:33:40 pm: You can find a torrent file called MAME0.111 Extras on the following site. [romsite name redacted] It has most of what you are looking for and a bunch more. The following list are the folders that are covered.

extras
..artwork
..cabinets
..cpanel
..flyers
..HitF12
..mame32icons
..marquees
..mrdocabinet
..samples
..snap
..titles

They put out an update for every major release of MAME. You have to setup an account with them and they are a ratio site where you need to upload at least the same amount that you download or you will be banned.

Make sure to stop by their forums too and chat with them, they are a friendly dedicated bunch who I have to say without their work I may never have got quite so into retro as I have again now.

I agree Treebor. The guys that run that site are a good bunch that make this hobby worth pursuing. They will help you with issues of running bittorrent or what you can do to keep your ration up. They even have some wild conversations like we do here. What ever you do keep out of their doghouse. ;D

Yeah, I was ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- listed soon after finding the site, but had my ratio back to 1:1 within a week and made sure to keep it there.
