Post by: DigitalFusion on January 31, 2007, 03:55:37 pm
While I am waiting for my 27" bezel to arrive, is there any chance anyone out there can gimme some measurements of the demensions of the thing?  How deep is it?  what is the opening size, both diagonal, and vert/horiz?

another question... How did you mount this?  Did you cut it to the exact inside width of the cab? Do you have the lexan/glass right up against this?  Did you route slots into the cab?

I'm also curious how do you trim the outsides of this thing to fit?  Is it really hard/thick plastic?

i would guess you score it with a razor knife and straight edge from the back.  My concern is the joint between the cab and the bezel., and how you attach the lexan/glass to it?

It is easy to trim with a sharp (i.e. new blade) utility knife.

I got one for 19" screens. I cut it with a Dremel and cutting wheel.

The interior "hole" pissed me off. It was for a 19", but there's an inner "lip" along the inside "hole" that in the end blocks out over half an inch of viewing area. Since MAME already varies screen output for different games, with some having black borders, I wanted to make absolute best use of the available screen space, so I ended up cutting away that inner lip. The results aren't perfect (irregular cuts), but its not that noticable...

I just received the 27" flat monitor bezel from Happ and it's significantly smaller then the dimensions above.  I'm at work so I don't have the exact dimensions but it was a few inches both ways.  It was a little over 25" in the horizontal, which unfortunately puts it at about 3/4" too short for my 26" width.   :(  Anyone else get this size or did I get a bum one?

Yikes, I was just about to order one.  It does seem kind of weird they don't put dimensions on their website (at least from what I could tell).

It sounds like we're talking about two different bezels; "standard" and "flat".  The picture that Marlboro posted is of the standard which I also have one of.  The dimensions are correct.

Not sure what the dimensions of the flat monitor type bezel are.
