Title: Question about Mounting IPAQ
Post by: mrserv0n on January 30, 2007, 09:21:03 pm
I have finished my control panel. The question I have is how do I mount the IPAQ-4 Board. There are 4 screw whole but if I screwed it down It looks like the solder points on the backside would be damaged. Do people use a spacer of some sort so it kind of hovers off the wood?

Yeah, mounting it directly on the board would be a bad idea I think.
I've seen many pictures here using spacers... maybe you can make some yourself or just buy them.

Just take a cheep ball point pen and cut off 1/2" pieces of the barrel and viola spacers.  ;D

Or you could do something radical and buy PCB mounting feet.
