Hi!
A friend of mine and I am working on this since 08/2006.
I wanted to have a little Bartop (OK, actually it is not little :laugh2: ) with a two Player CP with 6 Buttons (for Street Fighter II and such)
There is a 17" CRT inside and a 3000 Sempron with 512 MB Ram.
It will run Win XP and as the Frontend I will use a registered version of GameEx.
A 40GB HDD should do it :). Perhaps i will expand this in the future.

Looking good! Any plans for artwork or a color scheme yet?
-
not in detail :)
i perhaps want a Donkey Kong Jr. Sideart and a marquee that looks alike but not the original DK Jr. Marquee
the cab is more complete than on the pictures by the way, but i cant get my hands on the fotos i have made with my cellphone camera :timebomb:
the marquee holding part i finished too :)
-
Looking good :applaud:
Could you tell us the dimensions of the cab!?
Waiting for more pics ;)
Good luck with the build!

:hissy:
AAARGH! whatever i try - i cant get this  cell phone (a Motorola btw >:D ) connected with my PC...
:dunno
-
you probably need their software to make the connections.
-
i have the software (mobile phone tools) but it is not working... i have tried it on two different PCs with the same result... tells me to connect the phone via usb - it searches for the phone saying that it will be automatically found and installed :blah: and then nothing...
it worked on my last xp installation (after some starting troubles :( ) so i keep trying... :dunno
-
ok... got it :dizzy:
one little question: i have taken a normal IDE cable for the MiniPac.
the red cable is connected to pin 1 of the minipac pin two is the grey cable right next to the red one and so on to pin 40? nothing special about it right?
in the marquee i have used two 2mm plexiglas layers one normal transparent and one that diffuses the light. its the same as on a x-ray screen or a backlighted advertisment.

Another sweet bartop that I didn't see originally posted. I need to check the Project Announcements more frequently.
Nice work. :applaud: More pics, please.
-
we are really short on time... but when it is going on i will of course post more pics :D
-
here the cab is painted and the side art is finished
the marquee is made by leapinlew (thanks :) )

Calling it sexy would be an undersell. Great work!

Those speakers look a bit large. Are you including the woofer and/or where are you going to mount them?
Any plans for control panel artwork?
Look'n good.

the speakers are in the bottom of the marquee and arent very big... the subwoofer will be placed inside the cab.
here you can see the holes for them...
