Title: Cabinet Identification
Post by: Percipio on January 28, 2007, 04:11:31 pm
I was hoping I could get some help on identifying what this cabinet might have been in it's former life.  Picked it up for free this weekend and going to do a MAME convert on it (someone else had already started one).  It had a sticker on the inside that said:

Model Number  021700000       Serial Number   352

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Coincidentally there's a similar thread in the Artwork forum with a very similar cabinet. The coin door appears different though.

You might want to PM each other to compare notes. To me it looks like it's probably just a generic cabinet.

I'm starting to think that, too.  Usually, if it's of "classic" shape, we'll get a quick ID from one of the cabinet shape gurus.  Guess I'm safe to MAME away.  Thanks!

Considering the shape that the black paint looks like it's in, you might try to strip some of it and see if there might be artwork underneath. Who knows.

One thing that seems really unusual about this cab is that the top panel is pretty much horizontal. Otherwise it really is a generic shape. Not that that's a bad thing for a MAME cab that could play virtually any game from any cabinet.
