I've tried cleaning the bearings and rollers but it hasn't helped, and didn't seem to be the problem in the first place. Forward, left, and downward spins all function correctly. Spinning to the right, the trackball seems to jar in place (as though its loose, rather than firmly in place) and the cursor skips.
Anyone encounter this before, or have suggestions to solve it?

I've noticed this too, it's like the ball comes up off the rollers and stops making contact. I found the problem to be the amount of play between the actual ball and the inside of the upper portion of the housing.
I'd done some experimenting with putting shims under the bearings and this has helped tremendously.

If you can't find em let me know and I'll see if I can take some new ones.

Thanks. If I can find someone with a digital caliper I'll give that a shot first, and just replace the ball if that's the issue.
