Title: Best Mod
Post by: whatzcrackn on January 24, 2007, 07:17:25 pm
Hey, just got a gba for free.  I have not opened it yet but would like to know is it worth keeping and modding.  WHat are my best option?

Backlight it.

Backlight it.

What does that do/mean?

The GBA does not have lights behind the LCD.  That means it doesn't light up and you can't play it in the dark.  Adding such lights improves the screen dramatically.

How is the blacklite thing done.  I thought the SP's had a back lite.  I forgot to put SP above.

Which cart is better:

M3 vs Ezflash III

I have read a lot about both of them.  It seems the ezflash lacks the movie/mp3 support.  Could not find it anywhere in a review.

You are right, you did not say SP, which is a different piece of hardware.  The SP is backlit.

Do you know anything about:
M3 vs Ezflash III?

I have an M3 and its great, but expensive for just GBA use as its more of a DS tool.

The ezflash is one of the better GBA rom carts.  I have an ezflash2 and use it for my gba games.  works fine.

I too have an ezflash.  Works great for GBA roms.  Haven't had a problem yet...  As for movies and MP3s, I don't believe it has support for that but even if it did, the resolution is not so great.  MP3s I'm not sure about, they could be alright if the support is there...  :dunno

Kool, does the exflash have that 32 requirement like the m3.  The m3 says any rom over 32 has to be patched.

I would answer that question if you didn't start "COOL" with a "K".  :lame:

But in all seriousness, I have no idea.  I don't pay attention to the size of roms so I may or may not have used one that normally requires patching...
