Title: My Golden Tee on TV project
Post by: Ohioboxster on January 21, 2007, 01:11:27 pm: My first attempt at an arcade game but Im pretty excited heres a couple of screen shots. Im not the greatest at wiring but getting there. I posted the box in another forum but I guess in was in the wrong section. Is this the right place?

Post by: Ohioboxster on January 21, 2007, 06:27:46 pm: Im really new to this but I bought all the insides from the 2005 GT Four, made a box and used a rgb to ntsc convertor to plug it to the TV. Im in Akron, Ohio Still need to wire the buttons and mount track ball but Im comming down home stretch.

Post by: Ohioboxster on January 22, 2007, 07:02:14 pm: I will try to get some good pics up tomorrow, as far as the parts go. There is a guy I know in Cleveland that has a ton of boards. They convert the Golden Tees to some type of bowling game. Basicaly all the internals for the GT, trackball, buttons, power supply and overlay are about $500.00. The box,hinges,handles and screws cost $33.00. The convertor for the television was $80.00 thats about it. He has earlier years or GT for a little less, if anyone is interested let me know.

Post by: Ohioboxster on January 27, 2007, 03:57:36 pm: I can put a pic up but I donr know if you will really be able to see anything. Its so simple to wire compared to the stuff you guys do. If you can wire buttons you can wire this cabinet because thats all you really need to wire besides the RGB to NTSC convertor.
Most of the wires in this pic are extra for like coin door,power,player 2,video, etc.
I really need to just cut them out. This is just a JAMMA harness.

I painted the box today and put a new top on it, all thats left now is the Golden Tee Marque that I have for the front.

I just recently purchased a Golden Tee 2005 board along with the control panel, HD, power supply, jamma harness, and Averkey Video Converter. I would really be interested in how you wired your jamma harness to the video converter. I have been scouring the web for information but I am not finding what I am looking for or (more likely) don't recognize it when I see it. Looking at that Jamma Harness and all those wires seems somewhat.... intimidating. "And I'm not very good at ...confrontations." :) Any assistance is much appreciated.

RGB to NTSC converter. Note the V4.1 component unit gives higher quality output for component video.
