Title: Monitor adjustment questions.
Post by: truffelzwijn on April 03, 2003, 05:01:27 am
Now i finally got to fiddling around with the controls on my arcade monitor i have found the following after messing around with it.

1) there are two (nearly horizontal) thin lines visible at the top of the picture that i can't get rid off. Except when i turn the image so dark it's unplayable.

Can this be fixed with adjusting or does this mean i need to replace capacitors. It's not that annoying but it is visible?

2) The image in the corners is blurry compared to the center which is really focused. I can't get the corners focused.

Again, can this be adjusted with the controls or should i replace the capacitors.

3) the image is not completely horizontal but a little tilted.

Should is use the "horizontal linearity" control for this? I can not reach it because it's tugged away. I would have to remove the tube to get to it. I will do this only if that particular control is the one i need.

Are there any tips on how to properly set up a monitor (a good order to set the controls)? There are so many potentiometers that i don't know where to start  ???
I have the installation manual but it's assumed that i have a oscilloscope which i don't).

Thanks :)

See this post halfway down the page

"Adjusting an Eygo Monitor"   I was able to adjust my monitor perfectly without a manual and a little patience.
