Title: centipede track ball to computer help

im sorry that my second topic is a guestion too...
i swear ill be useful sooner or later  ::)...
i got an original track ball from centipede i tride to use a mouse buti failed horibly. i was wondering,  could i make the hole on the bottom and basicaly tape an optical mouse to the bottom?

Perhaps putting an older ball rotating ball type mouse would work. But i would just suggest you get a Pc trackball sold by happs or others.

You can use it with an OptiPac or MiniPac

he also sells a cheap interface that is quite easy to use
I couldn't tell you the difference between the optipac and this one but I know that both work great

Yeah.  You should be able to do that - if the pickup is close enough to the ball.  Quite a few people have done this for their spinners.
