Hi, I'm running Mame32 on XP on a standard computer monitor but can not seem to make the games "stretch" to fill the whole screen. I've tried all the obvious things (at least to me) like adjusting to 800x600 and changing to 16bit in the "settings" section. I'm sure there is something very obvious that I'm missing. I actually searched the faq's here and couldn't find anything. Can someone help out?
TIA

maybe something to do with changing the hardware stretch setting in the mame.ini
worth a try

Go into Options, Default Game Options, Display, check-mark Start Out maximized.
And then stop using mame32 and go with a better front end with mame command line...

I know. I'm still new to all this so I borrowed a disc from a friend just to "get it going". Once I settle in I'll see what fe I like best. Thanks for the reply. I'll see if that works.
