Title: Need Help with AtomicFE

ok .. here goes .. my setup:

1. Accepted all default settings for install of FE and Arcade PNP
2. Copied all ROms & snaps to the right DIR
3. Checked all pa th sets etc... all look good
4. Have an EXACT duplicate setup running on AMD machine
5. Monitor is set Vertical in Arcade Cabinet (built, did not kill a classic cabinet)
    Using ATI Video card - set at 1024x768
6. I can run DOS MAME just fine in cabinet
7. I launch AtomicFE, screen goes black, nothing shows on screen
    (I set to option to view what MAME is doing .. its not even showing up.

I tried ....
Diff versions of MAME
Uninstalling Atomic and PNP mod - then reinstalled with several diff PNP's - all same result.
Deleted EVERYTHING and used the quick install (install Atomic, Install PNP, copy roms, snaps, titles)

I get the same result every time, regardless of what I do!! BUt it works PERFECTLY on my PC. (the install is in a PC as well in the arcade Cab)

What Operating System do you use?

XP/2000 or Win98 ?

If win98 , check that your desktop color depth is well 16bit/Pixel  (65535 color) and not More (and not Less)

Windows XP - it was set to 32, reset to 16, same problem .. no Atomic FE shows up

Look in the Atomic Folder if there is a file called 'AtomicLog.txt' , let me know what you read inside.

Other test to do.

-Try in Horizontal mode
-Try with 640x480 resolution
-Try with 320x200 resolution

OK .. flipped it back to horiz , running games and itself just fine .. except of course the game is sideways! Any help again?

What resolution did you use?

Try 640x480

Atomic is running great, launches games etc .... running perfectly, but how do I get my vertical display back .. damn hard to turn your head 90 degrees to play ..  :banghead:

please answer to my questions, if you want i have a change to reproduce/find the problem you have and eventually fix it.

-Did you try  Atomic in 640x480 and in Vertical mode together?

-then can you try Atomic in 320x200 and in Vertical Mode together too.

What .CFG you are using?  Do you change orientation setting from the PlugnplayManager or From AtomicManager?
