Is there any way to get my Marquee Light to turn on automatically when I power up my PC ? Instead of manually doing it. & Shut Off automatically on "shutdown"?
-
Sure, there is a project called the Bits Ltd. Smart Strip. Anything plugged into it will be powered when the PC is powered up. I'm using one of those with great results.
I also found something similar but not as fancy at Sears. Its meant to turn on a light, etc when you power up a piece of equipment. That was $24, and also works great.

Sounds good.. but I already have a battery back up, is it safe for me to use both?? plug one into the other kinda thing or is that just asking for a fire hazard

Battery backup of what? The marquee light? I'd ditch the batteries and plug it into the Smart Strip outlet as a slave device.

Sounds like you have your lighting finished already,
so this may be of no use whatsoever.

These lights come with a hard drive connector so
you can attach it to your PC power supply.
It would then turn on/off along with your computer.
I purchased one, and it's certainly bright enough.
However you will most likely have to add some length
to the wires.

this can be done easily with a relay also.
I have a product available if you don't want to wire your own:

Can't you just leave the power on the light on, and have everything plugged into a powerstrip, and just turn the power on the powerstrip?
-
yes thats how mine is setup.
