Title: WG 19V2000 cap kit question
Post by: schooie on January 14, 2007, 12:27:31 pm
I am changing a cap kit for the first time and have a question. The kit and the schematic show caps 500/1/2/3 as 1uf but 2.2uf is installed in the board. 2.2uf have been supplied for c603 and 703 but these have been removed at some point. A 22uf is supplied for c504 but a 47uf has been installed there. The cap kit sizes are correct to the schematic drawings but the installed caps are different. Do I install the caps I have and put the caps 603 & 703 back changing the 47uf back to a 22uf? Or do I locate more 2.2uf and another 47uf cap and install it as is? My original problem was the two slow blow fuses have blown and this is part of my solution.

I may have my answer on closer inspection I believe I have an Electrohome G05-802 and not a WG 19V2000 as I originally thought.
My bad a newbie mistake maybe.

Does anyone know of anyone who has flyback transformers for one of these available?

I have never seen a failed high voltage transformer on a G05-802. Are you sure you need one?  Failure of this part is rare.

If you do need one, I have never seen a suitable replacement.  Your only hope would be to try and get a good used one, or another complete HV assembly used.
I would ask on the  rec.games.video.arcade.collecting newsgroup, or vectorlist.org
