Title: Ultrastik 360 with Project64?
Post by: SGT on January 14, 2007, 10:01:28 am
Is anyone successfully using the Ultrastik 360 with Project64?  I know most people that play N64 games probably have separate console controllers that they pull out.

I am thinking that since the U360s are analog that they might work with N64? Yes, I know that I would need a lot of buttons also, but I would love to use Mame controls for the few N64 games that I would have in the cab I am building.

Anyone?

U360 is for PC, never mind MAME or P64. It works as programmed gamepad.

I understand that.  What I am referring to is that people who have PJ64 have said that it does not play WELL with Arcade controls (because it needs an analog stick) so they use a separate game console controller.  I am asking if anyone is actually using the U360 to play N64 games and if so, are they happy with it.

Anyone else get this configuration working - I found the U360's work in SM64  but they act like 4 ways (no diagonals).  Haven't spent a lot of time with P64 yet so maybe there is a solution.

I just tried this and it works fine.  Make sure you load the analog map on the U360.  I did that they just went into the control config and picked the u360 gamepad, then configured all the directions and buttons.  The analog stick was for sure working correctly.
