just need some feedback on my layout for 8 buttons...
mame would be setup as follows:
so, you've still got yer capcom 6 button fighter layout, and neogeo games would use 1-4 (1st three fingers on first 3 buttons, and thumb on button 4).
i'm also gonna have my cab setup for console emulation (and have a DC console in there somewhere)
DC layout:
PS layout:
N64 layout:
SNES layout will be same(ish) as the dreamcast layout, but swap A with B and X with Y (L and R stay in the same place)
the N64 layout doesn't have an L button, not sure what to do about that...if a game uses analog control, it's not likely to use the L button as you can't really get to it without moving your hand....but then, if a game uses digital control, it aint gonna use the Z button (for the same reason)...
if anyone has any comments/suggestions, or even uses the same layout, I'd love to hear from you.
cheers

THat is exactly the setup I used on my desktop controller. It works awesome. I set it up the same way, mainly using the controller for Streetfighter layout and the bottom row for Neo Geo layout. Works great and easy on the fingers with the curve. I also play playtstation emulation with a set up just like yours.
Should work great for you.
