Obviously the name is flexible...
IDEA:
Take the plans of an average arcade cabinet and expand them proportionately using a 36" TV with a 4 player panel. The only thing that wont be proportionate is the height of the control panel which will remain the same height (would be funky playing with a CP thats a foot or so higher than average).
Not sure if I am going to do it...but I am considering it.
Option 2: Cocktail cabinet...
EDIT: Crap...sorry...thought I was posting in the PROJECT ANNOUNCEMENTS forum.

Would seem kind of overkill. Would perhaps just be better to leave the tv as is, and just create the four player control panel.

There's a time limit. Any edits done under that time frame do not show up as an edit.
AHA!

I built a cabinet a few months back with a 32" television. Showcase style...
some pretty wild "cabinets" have been done with a projector:
Here is a 100"

If you used a 36 " TV ( I'm assuming you mean a CRT TV) It would probably kill your eyes unless you have a good 8 or ten feet beetween you and the screen.
I have an 36 " RCA TV which is 8 or so feet from my bed and just playing Sega genesis games on it hurts the eyes. A better idea might be to make a showcase cab with a TV that size.
