If you follow the directions you'll aways get the rebate... Some companies take longer than others to send it of course.
-
I used that FAST rebate. They take off only $1.00 and they send you a check within a couple of days, when they recieve the forms.
-
I just looked at both rebate forms and they each require the original UPC. How do you get both rebates with only one UPC? And they both say 'not valid with any other rebates'...

there are 2 products. One for each rebate to diff company.
-
Duh.... You are correct, thank you. I'm always leery of MIRs.

WRONG!
TigerDirect is notorious for horrible rebate policies, and was sued a few years back for that very reason. I have filled out probably 100+ rebates with no issues, and TigerDirect is the only one to give me problems.
Its a very well known problem with them, although I have read they have gotten better. They'll never see another dime of my money though.
-
I do believe they have gotten way better. I have never had an issue with rebates with them in the past 2 years. Of course, most of my rebates with them have been handled by OnRebate.com, not mail-in.
-
Based on what I've heard, and not on personal experience, I would never buy from TigerDirect. Unfortunate because they seem to have kiler deals time to time.
-
FYI, you can also get a USB/Firewire enclosure for free with a similar offer on tigerdirect

Wish I had known about it as I would have got that instead but I'm sure I won't be able to get two rebates for the internet security trial thingy...
-
I have never had a problem with tigerdirect and I have bought many things from there. sicne they moved to onrebate.com to handle rebates it is awesome. You can get your rebate in a couple weeks deposited in your payal account.
-
It has been a few years since I used tiger direct (stopped due to the fact rebates never followed through) I hear that it is better now that they are using OnRebate.com, but I will never know... only takes a time or two being shafted before I lose faith in a company......
for those who have had god experience, more power to you as for me they will never receive another dime....
-
Here's what I find funny. There are people who won't do Tiger Direct but will do NEwEgg. Most of the rebates both have are manufacture rebates.
-
WAIT!!!
I just realized that this offer comes with a AUTOMATIC charge to your credit card of $69.99 if you don't cancel the trial of the internet security suite within 30 days. UGGGHHH I didn't know that when I ordered and probably wouldn't have known to cancel the trial and would have been screwed out of 70 bucks!
I don't think that it's right AT ALL for a retailer to automatically charge your CC for this. It's a sneaky and deceptive business practice. I used to have no problem with tigerdirect, but I won't buy from them again!!!
I ordered this on friday night, and canceled the order today.
I hope that I don't end up with issues from this....

Where do you see this ? I don't see it anywhere. I check again today and look at the terms and condition and did not mentioned as such.

Whenever there is software involved you hve to watch out for stuff like that. Just read the fine print before you purchase something. That's why people are upset at TigerDirect, because they can't read.

actually I tracked many of my rebates that weren't sent... they'd get approved and never arrive... I'd call the 800 numbers and get the run around....and of course tiger Direct had a disclaimer that they weren't responsible for the rebate offers, yet they advertised the stuff at the rebate price....
I'd say they got me for close to $100 total....
so reading wasn't the issue...

It's in the first paragraph on the product information tab.
I appreciate you pointing this out Rick. I plan on calling up and canceling as soon as I get the number off the box.
-
thnx.... when product arrives, I will also call and cancel.
Thanks for the heads up on this.
I'm not even gonna use this proggie, I will just throw it out.

No they weren't. Sorry, but they weren't.
Back a few years ago, when TigerDirect was getting into this trouble, it was THEIR rebates. Manufacturer rebates are obviously out of their hands, and not their problem. There were TD rebates that caused problems, which is a main reason they no longer handle their rebates themselves.
It was not lack of reading the fine print, or people being unable to properly fill out rebate forms. There were MANY people who did everything right and still got shafted.
-
Ok,what I meant to say was NOW they use manufactures rebates. You won't run into the problem as much.
