Title: fliping the orientation of windows????
Post by: david656 on January 07, 2007, 03:26:16 pm
hi i have a rcade machine waiting to be mamed have fitted all the gear to find my nice new 19" CRT doesn't fit!!! I don't want to take it out of the casing and have figured that the top part is slimmer than the bottom part so fought i would just turn it upside down.

is this a good or bad idea and how do you flip windows 180 so it will be round the right way??

cheers

Don't know if there is a setting in Windows to do that, but since it's in a cab, MAME is capable of flipping.
I have a vert cab and my Windows desktop is sideways until the front end starts.  :)

I don't know what card you have, but mine is the stock Intel integrated chip set.  In Control Panel, I select the graphics icon, and the fourth tab from left is 'rotation'.  As I'm still using my LCD, I have a rotating stand, and wouldn't use this, but I did try it (90 degrees - which was actually 90 countre-clock), so it can be available.

Worst case  you can go download "irotate"....google it.

It works decently.
