Ok, I finally decided to implement dual monitor functionality in my jukebox since I believe I finally might have time to build a jukebox cabinet and I thought it would be nice to have two monitors in the cabinet. The primary monitor will be where the application runs and the secondary monitor will show the videos, album covers or lyrics.
The reason why I am posting this now (before the new version is released) is to see if anyone actually uses my jukebox software and whether they have some problems they want fixed. I believe the software is pretty stable but maybe I missed some stuff.
Let me know what you think .....

Glad to hear you're working on it again!

Well, not sure anyone except me uses it, but it is pretty solid. Thing is, I finally got an extra video card and decided to give dual monitor stuff a try. Actually, the dual monitor stuff has already been coded andworks fine now. I am added a few new features while I am in there messing around as well now .... ;D
I will of course post again once the software is available, for what it is worth

I think you really need to look at adding some sort of skin support to get the interest, no one likes windows controls i found out very early on. Good news on you picking the project back up with so many others dissappearing. Looks like VMJ and ThePCJukebox are both no more and Spacefractal lost his source code :(

In the Options/Display/Skin menu, there is a way change the look of the application by changing the fonts (and font color) as well as assigning images to buttons instead. Also you can add background pictures to different areas on the screen as well.
It maybe too involved, but it was my first stab at "skinning" an application since I really had to idea what skinning was at the time (I am old ;D)
Also, I am not really picking this application back up since it is already jam packed with options, settings and abilities. I just wanted to add a couple of new options which I wanted. If you do not mind the look of the jukebox application then you should find it is pretty solid. Again, I created this jukebox for me but decided to share it with the community for free.
PS: I am also no artist.

Yeah i suffered with the lack of art skills too, it was only when i got somebody to do the graphics for me that i managed to get a decent look. My skins were pretty bad.. :laugh2:

UncleT,
The features you are talking about implementing are exactly some of the things I have been looking for.
I am keen to see how it all turns out.
Keep up the great work!
