Hi everyone
I bought MK2 cabinet to convert it to mame (http://youtube.com/watch?v=vPvl8giATfU) and find a few problems:
1. After about 30-40 minut playing, vision "jumps" on the monitor and make loud sound, before it is happening a soft constant sound go from the back on the monitor, just like someone would fry something on the oil, the longer monitor is turned on, the often vision jumps. After it happen i must turn off the monitor to cool it down.
2. I am using arcadevga, and despite that fact, no resolution fit good in the screen, i mean the horizontal (x) fits well, but vertical (y) is overscanned. I know it depends on resolutions, but even neo-geo games in native mode are vertically overscanned, even vertical size knob on the display control panel from monitor is set to minimal size. If someone know the different way to decrase vertical resolutions size I would be very gratefull.
I am not sure if the monitor that I get have all original parts. Please Help me!

i don't think you have a polostar,more likely a polo 1.
does this monitor work fine not connected to the avga card,if yes then some sort of setup problem or faulty card,if no then check for cold solder joints and more than likely it will need an electrolitic cap kit

You're right it's Polo, not Polostar. Can you tell me what is the capkit?

the hantarex polo monitors are excellent but after a few years require all the electrolitic capacitors to be changed, you will be able to purchase these from an electronics distributor, most important are the caps in the power supply circuit of the monitor-its important you prove that the monitor has this jumping problem all the time not just when a signal is connected

Tried monitor with UMK3 and got the same effect :(

o.k you must first check for bad solder joints on the chassis itself, when you get the jumps you should check the chassis for any sparks especially around the flyback transformer-they will be easy to see in the dark,a bit like lightning flashes
