Title: usb tracball wire harness for buttons work with mame ?

I'm wondering about the 3 push button support. I wonder if that would somehow interfere with Mame or if they would work together.

They work as mouse buttons

I don't use mine.

I have this one (just bought it) and my question was can you use the button connections as fire buttons as well?  I planned on hooking the buttons up to the right and left of my trackball so it could be used as a mouse if necessary but I also want to be able to use those same buttons for fire buttons in Trackball games such as Centipede.

In mame any button can be anything, joystick, mouse, or keyboard. I remapped the mouse buttons for use in Mame for trackball games and it works perfectly fine.  I also run a fair amount of pc games on my cab and those mouse buttons are invaluable.
