Title: [WTB] - Odd request: Antec Data Tank 3.5" IDE Parallel enclosure
Post by: Silver on December 27, 2006, 10:22:24 pm
EDIT: I've updated the subject to reflect the item that is most likely to be around (though still old) in US/Canada.

Anyone with one of these (possibly an KS410 model number?) please drop me a PM.

Bit of an odd posting, but I'm trying to track down a very specific parallel-to-ide interface made by a company called Kingbyte.

It's no longer made, or easily available, but was used in various external parallel enclosures/cd-roms etc..

Should be in:

Antec Datatank KS410 (external enclosure)
Maxbyte Disklite (external 2.5" ide enclousure with parallel interface)
Amacom Disklite (as above)
Amacom EZ disk (with two black connectors)
Amacom EZ CD (with two black connectors)
Multiport CD-JET SL (external CDrom)

Might be in:

Antec Datatank KS501

I've been ebay hunting old PC kit to no avail. The exact chipset I need is the KBIC-951A ( there is a similar, later revision KBIC-971A which is no good). Might have KI3020 on the PCB board.

If anyone has any of the above devices, would be great if you could let me know. I'm based in the UK, but even if someone has one of the devices they may be able to help me out anyway.
