Title: WTB: XBox DVD drive
Post by: Rip on December 27, 2006, 04:12:32 pm: My drive is toast. Does anyone have a spare one they want to sell/trade. I have a few arcade PCBs I could trade or cash is always a possibility. I would also consider a complete xbox if the price is really good.

Thanks...I'll see if I can get a DVD only first, then I may resort to a full Xbox. $90 is a good deal so if someone else offers to buy it, feel free to offer it up.

There are a few PC drives that you can update the firmware on which will then read originals. If you're interested in that go to xbox-scene.com and do a search on the forums and or the tutorials section.

It is not marked and I cannot even guarantee it is working (however I kept it for some reason so it may work).

Yours for $20 shipped if you want to risk it.

Xbox DVD drives are notoriously picky and its been out in my parts closet for a while so it may or may not work....
