Title: Bestech monitors
Post by: Ken Layton on December 27, 2006, 02:20:18 am
Just spotted a fairly new monitor manufacturer, Bestech. They are also known as Bestvision www.bestvision.co.kr/

They make a 19" horizontal mount (shelf) that's a CGA standard resolution called the model BTM19C. Photo of it's PCB is the 1319cga.gif

They also make a 25" universal mount that's a CGA/EGA switchable called the model BTM23D. Photo of it's PCB is the 2327d.gif

Hey, I have one of those!!! I took it out of a Capcom game and is currently in my Centipede cabinet.  Works great!!!

This one I got used and scrolls vertically for a minute or two until it warms up, looks great after that.

I have been looking for links to that company and monitor forever.  Thanks Ken.

I haven't encountered any of the Bestech monitors or chassis yet, but I have heard of them and I know they are out there. Just by looking at the pictures, I'm glad they label all the controls and things like that. Maybe someone should email these pictures to Bob Roberts to put on his monitor ID page?

If someone has these monitors installed in a game, maybe a review of them would be nice like how they have run, any problems, did company provide help in timely manner, did problem get solved, monitor prices, and who distribs in the USA?

These are from peachstate dist. in forest park Ga. . I've had one of there 27" multi sync running for about 2 years 24-7 and never had a problem. I bought 5 more within the last 3 or 4 months and 2 had bad boards straight out of the box. Now peachstate was extremely nice and helpful and sent new boards, They have great customer service. I will wait and see how these hold up before I buy anymore.

That's a good price. I thought Peach State Distributing went out of business several years ago? If they are still around, what's their website?

No website. 800-727-3224 Riley is who you need to talk to. Greater southern also sales peachstate monitors, but the 27" is $375.00 . The first one I bought from Greatersouthern, They highly recomended it. I have been very satisfied with the first one I bought and hope these 2 with bad boards were just a freak thing. I 'm planning on replacing all my 25" monitors with these if these last ones I bought hold up as well as the first one. I gave you the wrong price, They are $350.00 from peachstate and replacement chasis is $130.00.

To get a gander at Bestech products:

http://www.bestvision.co.kr/product/vga_btm27v.asp

Unfortunately, their 27" only goes up to VGA.  Then their line skips up to XGA, but only 15/17/19".

I notice they make a 23" model as well...which may fit in my 24.5" wide cabinet a little better.

Anyone have a price on the 23" model?

RE: BTM19C, can anyone provide manuel/schematics/info on this monitor? I just picked one up and would like to try and get it working. I don't know if it even requires an isolation transformer.
