Post by: hayabusa_fmw on December 23, 2006, 12:15:09 pm
Hello guys

I am in a process
of doing my second arcade controller

I know how it's done.

but i only need someone to point me out to the solder point to know which is wich?

because where i solder normally is not on the PCB (where the normal rubber of the controller go)   but on the solderpoints (they are like 6 or 7 in 1 line & for the r buttons they are 3...
i need to know which is the contact which is the ground
where are the up down left right & all the buttons but i don't want to solder

i don'T know if i make sens at all but if you know what i am talking about tell me :P

(im using a PSX 1 first model controller the grey one
thanks!)

The grounds are all tied together. Use a multimeter in continuity (beep) mode to locate the ground contacts. The other side of each button is the signal side. When you press the button, it connects those two sides together.

You might want to do some Googling. There are lots of sites that show you how to hack PSX controllers. My experience is with Dreamcast controllers but it's all the same concepts.
