Title: Suddenly can't find CHD in .111?

I haven't updated mame in a while so I just set up the latest .111  and suddenly there is an error that it can't find CHD files (they are in the default roms path) but it was working with the old setup.

Has something changed along the way that I need to do differently?  It's impossible to apparently figure out what the real issue is, one version worked, the latest can't find it.  The mame FAQ/documentation doesn't seem very easy to find answers in.  The FAQ says CHD should be in ROMS folder, and it is, so I don't know what's wrong...

I reinstalled mame 102 and Killer Instinct and other CHD games work again, just upgrading to .111 makes it say CHD not found. I don't know why.
