This probably has an easy explanation, but I haven't found one yet.
I have just managed to connect my pc to the original monitor in my arcade via the vga connector.
I'm using arcadeos to run various mame games on the screen...... The games appear crystal clear in the centre of the monitor, but they only fill about 1/4 of the screen.
Is there anyway to make them fill the entire screen???
Is it just a case of turning the knobs on the back of the monitor to stretch the games to fit the screen???
Can anyone point me in the right direction on this one. I'm relucatant to start fiddling
around with things if it is just a software problem
Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

I had similar problems with the first cabinet I Mamed. I switched to an Ati Rage graphics card and started using AdvMAME instead of regular MAME.
It takes a lot of tweaking, but once you've set all the resolutions up right every game looks perfect - filling the whole screen.
Las Vegas has a good tutorial on setting it up in his Software section at http://mame.how.to
