Post by: joe35car on December 16, 2006, 10:50:14 pm
Has anybody have one of these and is it worth the money?  Thanks

If I remember correctly the Thrustmaster HOTAS Cougar is supposed to be one of the best flightsticks around as it is modeled after a real F16 stick.
I've also read it doesn't turn left and right for rudder steering (I'm not sure!), so you might want some rudder pedals with it.
Other than that it's damn expensive... you should search with google for some reviews :)

At the moment I'm using a Saitek Cyborg EVO for my flightsim games... it's not as expensive and it's great to use.
Saitek also has a HOTAS, I don't have any experience with that one but it might be a nice 2nd choice.

Cougars are pretty good out of the box, though if you're a hardcore flight sim junkie you'll end up spending more on mods for it than the stick costs new.

There's a whole bunch of info available about them here: http://cougar.frugalsworld.com/ (http://cougar.frugalsworld.com/)
