Title: Mamewah1.61 error exits : Subscript out of range in lay_updategame on Shut Down
Post by: mrclean on December 15, 2006, 11:16:44 pm
Basically when i use my buttons to shut down windows.. and not all the time do i get this error which is really weird ? any ways I get this subscript 9 error out of range in lay_updategame ??? it will happen every once and a while but not on every exit i'd say 1 outta 15 shutdowns ??????? Its not always consistant which is whats odd :dunno

*can this be related to when my windows starts up and i cant seem to get off that stupid 1 second annoying screen windows last known good config to dissapear.. its there for like 2 secs and automatically selects last known good config.

Are you sure it selects "Last known good config"? If so, you have issues that need resolved. On another note, this should not have anything to do with your MameWAH issue. Did you do a search on the MameWAH forum at Mameworld? THis is a commone error.

Good Luck,
John

Poor Minwah, bless his heart he just watched the most excrutiating 10 minute video I put together showing how I can faithfully reproduce - and resolve - the "error 9 subscript out of range" error.

Man, it was a poorly produced video, too. Holding the cam with one hand while working the mouse with the other, and fighting the out-of-sync black band the whole time!

Anyway... dunno if it will be extremely helpful to him, but at least now he's seen it in action.

btw minwah, I'll be happy to test out any fixes you care to send my way.

Poor Minwah, bless his heart

Hah, that brough a smile to my face!  :D

I'm not sure what this particular issue is, whether it is related to the Movie_Stop error, but I suppose it's possible.

Che: I will probably take you up on your offer once I get chance to try and fix it...thank you :)
