Title: Noisy 360 ?

Are all 360's really noisy when playing a Disc or is it just mine? its not too bad when I'm in the dashboard but as soon as I play any game its really noisy.
Its the same both laying down and standing up, I thought my PC was noisy but the xbox is far worse

Yep, they are definitely noisy.

It is the dvd drive spinning up full speed for games.

It isn't too bad for movies, or obviously when sitting idle in the dash, but once you stick a game in...

Better turn up the volume or get you some ear plugs. :)

yeah, the 360 is certainly loud as far as consoles go.  It's noticeable, thats for sure.

There's a couple of things you can do to quiet it if you don't mind breaking warranty.

I recommend turning on the vacuum while you play.  Your Xbox 360 will be as good as silent.

I played fable today,  the standard Xbox game and it was as quiet as a mouse,I couldn't hear the drive spinning at all why is this?

Maybe it's some sort of XBox vs. XBox 360 game sort of thing. Maybe 360 games have to spin faster. I've heard that DVD movies aren't as noisy, either. Try another original XBox game and see what happens.
