Hi all,
Due to peer pressure and a little guilt, I am listing these again for sale online. ;) I have gained an enormous amount of information from this site that has more than made up for the time it will take me to process these orders. So buy away!
I own a Cyber Café & Gaming Center and have some PC parts for sale from my last upgrade.
$10 each - 256 MB DDR PC2100 RAM (266MHz) I have about 70 left (Minimum order of 2)
**SOLD OUT*** $20 each - 80 GB Maxtor Hard Drives 7200 RPM 2MB Cache
***SOLD OUT*** $20 each - Radeon 9600SE 128 MB AGP Video Card (These have VGA, DVI and S-Video out) I have about 10 of these left.
Shipping - $3 per stick of RAM, Shipping will not exceed $10 total, if it does, I will eat it.
I have been slowly selling these off to my customers, but it occurred to me that some of you may want them to upgrade your MAME machines.
I am also willing to trade. I am looking for the following:
7” to 10” LCD Touch Screen (Widescreen)
Good quality Spinner
Wireless Xbox and Playstation 2 controllers.
MAME Compatible Steering Wheels and Pedals (4)
Anything else Arcade related that could make my super cool, totally awesome, bestest in the whole wide world, MAME cabinet even better. ;-)
Thanks
Jeff Green

Do you accept credit cards? No offense, but you're new, and there have been scammers in these parts.
-
Yes, via Click's I could take Visa or MasterCard. I would prefer Paypal, but if that is the only way you could pay, I could do it.
No offense taken. I was just going to sell the rest at Click's but I figured the other members of this forum could benefit from my extra parts. Plus, selling on e-bay is a pain in hiney.

That it is.

My package also arrived today. Glad to see you're back selling again. Posting the shipping prices was the way to go. I sincerely hope you consider selling to us again after your next hardware refresh.
Thanks again for the excellent communication and fast shipping.

Slightly off topic, but I see that you mentioned you run a cyber cafe and gaming center. Do you have any pictures of your setup, and/or a website?

His website is listed in reply #4 above.

Oops! Didn't read the whole thread. Thanks! One thing - the photo album link gives me an error: Sorry, this URL is not authorized to be displayed here...

We do have pictures of our old place. We moved into a local mall about a year ago, and I have yet to get around to updating the photo album. I am in the slow process of changing our website to a Joomla based one that uses our new address www.clicksgaming.com. It really isn't public yet, since I haven't even added the graphics and logos to the template or any content. Mostly I am just getting used to the new system and it's capabilities.
If you are really curious to the appearance, go to igames.org and search for centers near 50266. That will show you pictures from our old place, similar, but not quite as big.
Jeff
PS
For those of you dreaming of running a Internet Cafe or Gaming Center, don't. It doesn't make money.
-
PM sent for video card. :)

We had a gaming center on campus at the mall and it was open for less than a year. Even though the location was ideal in the middle of a major university campus and a used game seller down the hall it still couldn't survive. If you plan on doing something like this don't have it be the only or primary source of income for the business.
-
Yep, we have been around for 3 1/2 years. In that time I have lost money every year. I would not even recommend it as a part time gig. Even after investing almost $500K and years of work, it is barely staying afloat.

You can sell four of them on ebay for a $60 each with free shipping and make your money back!!!!
-
That would be pretty sucky to do, though.
Sure you can do whatever you want, but to horde PC parts just to sell them back for more when people upgrading their PC's for this hobby could use them is just... morally wrong.... or something..... you get me.
There are a million other outlets for monetary exploitation, I would hope that the one here among like hobbyists could stay clean and kind-hearted, no?

I dont want to troll this thread but, come on. Do you think Snaake is upgrading 10 of his personal PC's. Doubt it. He is going to stick them in Xbox's or sell them man. No more replies, I dont crap in other people's cereal. Good catch Snaake.

I could do whatever I want ::)
but if you must know..they are going in xboxes. I often get people that wants a drive upgrade but something cheap. and later on I might start building some bartop cabinets with xboxes as guts. these can be used to store all the programs, emulators, etc.
-
If any left, I'll take an 80 gig.
Mike
-
Are those VGA cards low-profile?
-
I could do whatever I want ::)
I do believe I said that.
More power to you, buddy.
-
Ill take a hard drive and a video card...
-
ALL OF THE HARD DRIVES ARE SOLD! Sorry SNAAKE. I was not monitoring the thread, just my Private Messages.
-
The video cards are not low profile. However, I have sold out of them.
-
I got my video Card...Have yet to try it, but I'm sure it'll be fine...Thanks a ton!!!
-
Got my video card the other day and installed, works perfectly, plus it accepts the omega softmod and ati tool, which brings the speeds up to a 9600 pro, not just 9600se, only difference in the memory is still 64bit . thanks :)
-
Received my card a few days ago. I have not tested it, but it looks in good shape. thank you.

Do you have any links to more info on this?
-
I would highly suggest adding a fan if you plan to overclock these cards.
