Am I the only one getting redirected to GOOGLE when I attempt to visit the mameworld forums? MAMEWORLD.INFO?
-
Works for me.
-
Strange....it forwards to GOOGLE on both my PC and MAC systems from this IP address. Is is possible they forwarded only my IP address for whatever reason? Sheesh...
-
is that a work ip? they do something similar here at my job with myspace it is fwd to an internal ip.
-
Nope...it's MY OWN IP at home...
-
Hey, aren't you the one who got banned from the forums? Maybe they banned your IP for some reason. Just use a proxy to get on the site.
Actually, that should work for steveh too. But MySpace at work? C'mon...
-
where theres a will theres a way, but i was just using it as an example i dont really care to go to myspace, and since i am in it, i could quite literally do whatever i want
try flushing your dns
at cmd prompt type ipconfig /flushdns

I'm not that concerned...this is more a pain in the ass than anything. I have a separate DSL connection here (redundancy) and I could just access MAMEWORLD with that.
-
two threads on the same subject? I can now see the light.....

It is shining through the holes in his story.

I'm not that concerned...this is more a pain in the ass than anything. I have a separate thread in EE (redundancy) and I could just get my problems solved there.
Sorry. ::)
-
Hahaha...
...this thread started out asking about if anyone ELSE was getting redirected to google...the other thread started out as a rant...
Redundancy is good sometimes...
-
So I take it you never found out why you got banned? That stinks...There have to be some members of this forum who are moderators of those forums...right?
And, if I may ask, why the 2nd DSL connection?
-
Given his love of redundancy, I'm going to go with multiple accounts.
