Hi guys as you should have already understood I'm tryng to find the best way to interface a SCART/RGB TV to a VGA card.
I found this site:
http://www.tkk.fi/Misc/Electronics/circuits/vga2tv/circuit.html (http://www.tkk.fi/Misc/Electronics/circuits/vga2tv/circuit.html)
Powerstrip is still nedded but the cisrcuit should protect the TV from the 31khz of the VGA signal.
Did some one of you already built something similar?
Is arcade VGA my only alternative? (nothing against it but i'm tring to find something that is not a patr of the PC to do the job and tthat can be fixed or replaced by me)

I hooke my VGA directly to my cocktail arcade monitor directly with a torn up VGA cable. You don't really need the circuit of course except to protect the mointor before powerstrip sets the mode upon startup. To avoid building such a circuit for monitor protection you could use a jpac (has a built in monitor protection circuit), setup a start up sound to warn you of when it is safe to turn on the monitor, or build a power sequencer circuit instead.
One drawback of the last option is that the power would come on after a specified amount of time whether or not your system is fully ready with powerstrip on, as in a boot failure.
A fourth option I saw somewhere is to build a parallel prot trigger (or maybe some other port) that will activate your monitor on relay when the system has booted into the os (whereby your safe resuolution is set.)
