Title: Critique my CP overlay
Post by: NAH on March 29, 2003, 09:07:47 pm
I found a picture on the internet that someone had scanned from a spiderman comic book. I liked it a lot and decided it would look good on a control panel. I blew up the picture to 22.5" x 10" and 300dpi using photoshop. I read frostilicious's illustrator tutorial, but I didn't know if i felt like going that route. I kinda like the 'fuzzy' picture... looks more comic-bookish. I thought that doing the illustrator thing would make it look too... something... I don't know... thats why I'm asking others. Anyways, check it out at

That's a cool picture of spidey! This is the type of image I had in mind when I wrote that tutorial - when you get it printed like this it will look really blurry.  Try doing just a hand or the face vectorized, and print it out full size on letter paper.  compare it to the original printed out. I think you'll notice a big difference in quality.

I concur with Frostillicus.  That's a cool picture, but it's gonna look pretty crappy printed.
