Well, I think its pretty hilarious that exactly the day I picked to start my MAME cab was when the forums got screwy and new users couldnt register/login. I had so many questions that I wanted to ask on here, but i couldnt! Please be forgiving on my project considering that issue!
I want to thank Randy (groovygamegear) and Knievel (knievels kustoms) for dealing with all my silly questions though. If it wasnt for them I wouldnt have been able to make this thing work. Their products also really make this thing what it is from a looks perspective. The CP top & plexi I got from Knievel are GREAT (and I'm no woodworker), and the electric ICE trackball & buttons from Groovygamegear.com are simply amazing to behold (in person especially).
I am too lazy to post all the details here, but I have a link to my personal website where I have already posted pictures from the entire process! Please let me know what you guys think! Good, bad, ugly, beautiful?

Nice job! I really like the control panel - it screams high-tech and I'm sure the wow factor is huge when you tell people you built it yourself.

Thanks!

No comments, criticisms? I will try to upload some actual pics to the thread shortly, but right now they are on my web page listed above. ..

Nice work! I especially like the moon nipple. :laugh2:

Top effort. Looks great. :applaud:

 good one.
But anywayz super job!! are those Ice buttons I see!!
-
Yes, Ice buttons & Ice trackball. Both are GREAT!
The ice buttons look so nice when lit, even when the lights in the room are on.
The trackball has an animated pulse from red to purple to blue. My wifes comment upon touching the trackball for the first time was that it "is smoother than the babies butt". When you look down into it, it is like looking into a hypnotizing orb (awesome).
Tip: Take the top piece of plastic off when mounting a betson imperial ball! You can mount it a little higher, and it mounts just the same with a happ plate whether the top is on or off.

Very nice work on STARCADE!! CP is just SWEET!! Overall from this angle: Simply AMAZING!!
What brand and type of sticks are those? Also, Where did you get those stools?
-
The sticks are 2 anodized steel pear top supers & 1 stainless steel ball top super from www.slikstik.com:

The stools are from Target. Order online with free shipping, I found mine in the store! Search for gas lift barstool, they are only $60!

Thanks for the compliments everybody!

Devz, Thanks for the links!
How are you liking the stools so far? Are they comfy after 1/2 hour or so of sitiing on them? I like the adjustability. The look is unique and kinda cool. I was thinking that a guy could put some vinyl stickers on the stools to dress them up a bit...even down on the chrome base.
Once again congrats on the NICE cab!

For real? One can pull the top layer of plastic off, drop in a Happs mounting plate, and...Bobzyeruncle?
(sry, just picked up a pair of these rly cheap, and their mass invites questions wrt mounting)
Thanks
